On the 14th May 2015 Jiménez Deredia inaugurates an exhibition entitled “Time and Space in Sculpture by Jiménez Deredia” in the Paseo de las Artes of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain. The exhibition, organized by the Museum of the City of Arts and the Gabarrón Foundation, will take place from the 14th May to the 30th September 2015.
The architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences, designed by the famous architect Calatrava, becomes the ideal setting for presenting the works of art of the Costa Rican artist. The circular and ovoid shapes present in the architecture of Calatrava and in the sculptures of Jiménez Deredia, accompany the viewer on a fluid and harmonious primordial journey that finds its origin in these organic forms, simple and linear as found in nature
